Mr. Russ Gill
302 Ivy Ridge #13
Syracuse, N.Y. 13201

Dear Mr. Gill

\JMy checker program is written in assembly language for the PDP-10 and
as a consequence is not readily adapted for another machine. I have
supplied copies of it to others but with but one or two exceptions
they have found the task to be too much for them For this reason, I
have rather stopped giving it out.

I am sorry to have to disappoint you in this way but it is quite a lot
bother to get the program togather and then to no avail. The code was
not written with a view toward making it easy for some one else to read.
It is divided into several different pieces which must be put together
properly. Altogether, the code is very voluminous and to list it requires
some 200 or more pages of printer output. Without detailed study it is
quite a task to make heads or tails out of it, even for mee some 3 or 4
years since I last worked on it.\.
